A Anthony
ParticipantHi:
I am looking for information on Moses Anthony born 1932 on Bell Island. It is my understanding that his parents were killed in a car accident between 1935 and 1945 and he went to live with his uncle Moses Anthony and cousin Moses Anthony Jr. Three Moses Anthonys in one house!
Other than the 1945 census, I can not find further info on the 1932 Moses. Any assistance greatly appreciated.

ParticipantHello – I have limited information on an Anthony family originating from Spaniard’s Bay. It starts with Robert Henry Anthony (b. unknown – died 1894) md Bridget Dower. They were said to have 14 or 15 children. The tree I have is not one that I researched myself but one that was pass along as I had information on one of Robert’s and Bridget’s descendants, namely Robert(Abt. 1851 – Spaniard’s Bay). Robert married (1)Bridget Reynolds and then (2) Rebecca Traverse. By Robert’s first marriage to Bridget they had a son, Moses Anthony (bc 1876, Harbour Grace – died 1935, Grand Falls). They had a number of other children but I mention Moses as it the name you are searching. I have other information on Robert (b. 1851 – d. 1921, Lewisporte, NL) and Bridget’s descendants. The only other child of Robert Henry and Bridget Dower that was mention in this tree is William George (b. 22 Sep 1865, Newfoundland) and died in Brownfield, Maine on 26 Feb 1935 and was buried in Pine Grove Cemetery. I’m posting this as there seems to be a connection between the Anthony family, Spaniard’s Bay and descendants named Moses. If I can be of assistance, please let me know.

ParticipantI am Moses Anthony’s son he was actually born February 3rd 1933. My father passed away May 10th 1989 suffering from cancer. I did find out after his death that he had a sister born around 1926 who was sent to live with someone else after his father died. His mother was still alive living on Bell Island. My father had no relationship with his mother and never forgave her for giving him up. You can email me at umpire7@gmail.com
