On December 12th the Wessex Society will host a lecture by Nicole Penney on the topic of Mummering in Newfoundland . It will take place at 8pm at Hampton Hall at the Marine Institute.
At present the FHSNL website does not have copies of any church records, but we would very much like to make such records available. If any church wardens or other custodians of original parish records will permit it, we would be happy to photograph birth/marriage/burial registers and put them online. Feel free to contact our webmaster at dapike@mun.ca to make arrangements, etc.
