I am looking for relatives of Marnie (or possibly Mamie) Taylor who lived at 94 Springdale St in St Johns from at least 1912 until 1920. My guess is that she was a young unmarried woman still living with her parents then. She corresponded over a number of years with my great aunt, Dora Irons, who worked for a milliners in Luton, England. The correspondence started when Miss Taylor found a slip of paper in a hatband with Dora’s name and address on which she had slipped inside (she also received postcards from New Zealand and Holland). We have a small collection of postcards showing views of St Johns, Carbonear, the 1919 peace celebrations, huge amounts of snow… It would be so lovely to share these with people who knew her.
