MemberHi Glen:
There are many “Abraham LeDrews” in Nfld and unfortuantely your Abraham & Elizabeth are not in my
Ledrew genealogy research. I only have info on my Abraham & his wife Deborah Bridger. I did a
quick check in ancestry.com and saw following info that may match your neighbour’s Abraham:
1) Death record March 8, 1912 in Change Island for Abraham LeDrew
2) Birth record of William Ledrew on April 22, 1895 with parents of Abraham LeDrew and Elizabeth
3) Birth record of Silas LeDrew on April 2, 1879 in Change Isl. with parents of Abraham and
Ann Elizabeth Ledrew
4) Birth record of Louisa Jane LeDrew on March 25, 1872 in Change Islands with parents of
Ann Elizabeth and Abraham Ledrew
Number 4 Louisa Jane LeDrew may be the child you mentioned “Louis Jane”.
Doing research on the LeDrews is difficult as there are so many of them and there are a lot of
the same forenames. I can’t confirm if your Abraham & Elizabeth are related to my Abraham & Deborah.
I have no record/info on a Jabez LeDrew. Ancestry.ca has a free Easter weekend which ends April 2nd, so if your neighbour doesn’t have a membership, they could search for free up until tomorrow. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.

MemberHi:
You are right – Ooops – I made a mistake when I did my post on the death dates (I used the marriage year in error). Here’s the proper dates:William Henry LeDrew: 1818 – 1889 & married in 1837 to Rebecca Taylor.
Their 6 children were born: Henry 1840, Priscilla 1842, Robert 1844, John Gushua 1846, Emily E. 1849
and Abraham Wm. About 1853. Can’t find Abraham’s birth record, so it could be between 1849 – 1853 ish.Abraham William LeDrew: about 1853 – 1926 & married in 1874 to Deborah Bridger.
Their 12 children were born: Arthur 1874, Jessie 1875, Bertha 1878, Joshua 1879, William A. 1881
Ottiwell Wood 1883, Edna R. 1885, Leo 1886, Althea 1888, Hilda my grandmother 1891, Walter 1893 and Zada Belle 1897.If you find out there’s a connection between the LeDrews you know about and my LeDrews, I am willing to share all my research via email in a genealogy report format. Also, if you have an Ancestry.ca membership, I’ve posted my tree on Ancestry, and you can find my tree (which includes the LeDrews), by searching under “Public Member Trees” tab, then search for my England Family Tree.
