I found some info on. William Joseph Browne, married to a Margaret Collins. Could that be a mis-spelling of Cullens? WJB would be Philip Browne’s son, Michael Browne’s GS, and Ptrick Browne’s GGS. WJB and MC supposedly had 6 kids: Leo, Frederick, Eliza, John Alexander, Isabel Mary, and William (Patrick?) Browne.

William (Patrick?) Browne is one of the family connections I’m trying to verify, so any information would be appreciated!

    Hello,

I’m not sure if the Browns and the Brownes were closely related, but my late father, Keith Michael Patrick Browne of Placentia Bay was the son of Roderick Browne (my grandfather, middle names unknown) who we called Poppy. Rod had quite a few charitable endeavours in NFLD, involving scholarships as well as lifelong donations to the Catholic church.

I’m Laura Browne and I thought it might be interesting to read about where my father and grandparents came from. I grew up with the NB side of the family! If anyone has any information about my ancestors, I’d be very interested to know.

Thanks, and wishing you all very well!
