I have an old date book that was handed down from my grandfather. He probably got this from his mother Elizabeth Forristall who was married to a Dan Eagan on October 1, 1882. Elizabeth Foristall was listed as a Widon by 1890. She then married my great grandfather William Murphy before 1894 as my grandfather was born in 1894. He was a baker by trade and he may have picked this up because I understand the Eagan’s ran a bakery. There are a few names listed in the diary such as Anastacia Corcoran in Little Island, (Newfoundland), looks like Care Mrs. Lunham 12 Mall, County Waterford (across the river from Duncannnon, Wexford), Mrs. Phelan, Mrs C. Sullivan, Duncannon, Wexford and Mrs. P. Sullis, Duncannon, Wexford. Finally ther is a Mrs. John Cavey, 428 W. 52nd St. New York City. These names may be related to the Eagans. Inside the date book is the name of John Joseph Leo Eagan, St. John’s, Newfoundland an address of No. 9 ?????? Place.

My grandfather Michael Murphy b 1894 had an Uncle Edward Power probably born about 1870. Don’t know what happened to him but have the names of his wife and his children. I have a Howlett in my tree as well a granddaughter of my grandmother Mary Sinnott’s brother married one.

I have a newspaper article with photo of her taken about 1935 with one of her daughters. The daughter’s last name was O’Brien. She was celebrating her 108th birthday in the photo. I can’t remember off hand what all was in the newpaper article.
