    Hi,

I know this is a long shot but I am looking for information about a man named John Hartery (I think he was known as Jack) who was born around the early 1920s. According to the little information I have, his parents names were James Hartery and Anne Payne (maiden name).

John Hartery served in Scotland during WW2, and was briefly married to my grandmother (now long deceased). It is purely out of interest that I am searching for information, as family history has become one of my hobbies in recent years.

I did find one Canadian record about a John Hartery which seemed to tie in, and according to that he died in 1969 – but this may be a case of mistaken identity, as he would have been really quite young then.

If anyone has any information about him, or is able to locate any information, I’d be so grateful. I live in Scotland and it seems very difficult to access Canadian records from so far away without incurring major expenses!!

    Chris

    Hi Chris and John,
I am looking for info on Joack Hartery as well. Jack enlisted from my hometown of FLEUR De LYS Newfoundland. His name is first name on the Cenotaph in my hometown. His tag number is 1406. From what I hear he served in 3 wars, WWI, WWII and the Korean War. He has 1 son named Patrick who lives in New Jersey USA.
Any info that you may have on Jack Hartery would be greatly appreciated.
John Hartery, how are you related to him.
I would love to hear from both of you.

John do you mind me asking if you are a relative of the man in question or if you have any information about him – including cause of death at such a young age?

Any information gratefully received. My email address is chris.watson149@gmail.com

    Thank you,

    Chris
