    Hi Roy,

I am doing some research on the Parsons from Newfoundland. My ancestor’s name is Henry Parsons (1806 or 1810, to 1871). He was born in St. John’s.
His father was Jonathan Parsons (1777-1831), originally of Harbour Grace.
And his mother was (Mary) Charlotte Butler (1787-1838). Henry immigrated to the United States, and died in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In particular, I’m trying to find out if this Henry Parsons is the same man who first married Harriet Bearns in Nfld, only to later divorce her in the US and then marry Mary Swan Tunison. Henry and Mary had a son named Henry (1858-1943). I’m trying to find out about Henry Sr.’s parents — if indeed they are Jonathan and Charlotte. Thanks for any info you may have!

Do you think there’s a connection here with your Parsons’ line? Thanks for any info you may have!
