I have some old notes, not really sure where I got them from, but what I found was:
a William P. Browne (marraied to Clara M. Power), is son of Frederick Browne and Irene Flynn. Frederick is a son of William Joseph Brown and Margaret Collins. William Joseph is a son of Philip Browne and Charlotte Penny (my great great grandparents), and Philip is a son of Patrick.

I think this William P. Browne could be the right person as his siblings are named Leo, Fredrick, Elizabeth, Johan Alexander and Isabel Mary.

William P. Browne and Clara M. Power are listed with following children:
Casimir, Terrence, Anthony, Ronald, Christopher, William P., Maureen, Phillip, Catherine, Brendan.

But do remember that there could be errors. There is many Williams out there, but I do hope you find some help in this.

Hi Laura, I have some data on Brownes of Placentia Bay. Have you any year connected to Keith Michael Patrick Browne? That would make it easier to have a look.

Hi Emma. I am a descendant of Patrick Browne through his son Philip Browne. I have some information on Michael Brown (b. 1818) in my family tree. Tell me if you are on ancestry.ca, then you can have a look. I have a different name on Michael’s wife: Ann Nancy ? Bonia, born 1822. I do not know what is correct as there are a lot of errors online. I have a daughter Marguerita, I suppose that is the same person and the Margaret-spelling you have sounds more correct. I have a birth year for Margaret in 1866, while you have 1835. From your data Michael’s wife would have been 13 years old when she gave birth, from my data 44 years old. I wonder iF being in the 40s are more likely than 13 years old? I do not know. Anyway, it would be interesting to get corrected the name of Michael’s wife. I will try to look for what my source was. – I would also like to do research into the Kilkenny records.

Philip Browne from Sound Island is my great great grandfather. I wonder if anybody here has found out anything about their ancestors back in Kilkenny, Ireland. I thought I should try to work on that, but maybe some of you already have done this?

No, no tree. A lot of people choose not to put any info out, unfortunately, but thank you for you reply. Then I can leave this site out.

I don’t know if anybody know the name Bruce L. Snow?
I have taken a test through FamilyTreeDNA and I have a mtDNA match result with gives
0 genetic distance with him, but I don’t know if it could be an error. It should mean that we are close relatives, but I don’t know anything about him – or the Snow family. I have a lot of ancestors in Harbour Grace area (Garland, Brown and more). Anyone with a clue?

    Kind regards
    Kirsten
