I am trying to find birth or baptism records of my great grandfather, Benjamin Keeping, born June 4,1858. He would most likely have been Anglican. His mother was Parthena Poole and his father was William Keeping although that surname could have been spelt as Kippen. He left Channel-Port aux Basque as a teenager or young man for P.E.I. then later went to the states. He is buried in Everett Massachusetts.
