Hello, I’m looking for information on John and Clementine Preston, who were probably born about 1810. They are my third great grandparents. They were the parents of Mary Jane Preston, who was born on 2/20/1831 and baptized on 5/20/1834 at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist by Frederic Carrington.
Mary Jane ending up marrying a man named William Morley and lived and raised a family in Halifax. While I have a lot of information on the Morleys, I have almost none on the Preston’s. I know there was a John Preston, who was a coxswain or waterman in St. John’s, but have no way of knowing if it is the same person as my distant grandfather.

I would appreciate any information or direction that could be shared.
