    Hello,
These are some of my Newfie family names.
The McCormicks are from Tickle Cove, came to Boston in 1898- James, Nicholas, Thomas, John McCormick. Father Patrick followed after being widowed. Unable to determine what ever happened to Rebecca McCormick
The Kelley”s came from St. John’s. Michael Kelley was the last to stay. His son Patrick married Mary Ward (White?). Assuming Ward, her father Robert was a member of the RNC.
The Tracey’s came from St. John’s. Patrick and Anne Mullowney were the last of my Tracey’s to die in NF. Their kids came to Boston
The Walkers are the famous songwriting family (Mark Walker-Tickle Cove Pond), who lived in and around Tickle Cove.

Looking for any information. Unable to get up to NF to do research in person. More than willing to help out people with research issues here in Boston.
My email is kelleymc905@yahoo.com. Thanks, kelley

Hi, I am of the McCormack’s of St.John’s, in my research I have seen your ancestors leaving Newfoundland for Boston, I didn’t copy any of it because I knew they wouldn’t have been my family. I will start to make note of the other McCormacks/McCormicks I run across for you. Good luck in your search. Debbie

    To Debbie Mullins:

Hello, are you still there, three years after your last post? I am researching my MacCormack family from St. John’s and thought to reach out to this post. My Great Great Grandmother was Anastatia MacCormack, who married James Tobin around 1835. They had at least six children, all baptized in St.John’s Basilica Parish from 1836 to 1855, including my great grandmother Catherine Tobin born May 1848. It is possible that Catherine’s oldest sister (Ellen) married a William Phelan in 1857. It is also possible that Anastatia’s sister Bridget McCormack/Cormack married James Tobin’s brother Michael, as this couple were also having children baptized during the same period??
I have no other information on Anastatia MacCormick (nor James Tobin neither) but estimate they were born around 1815 and married around 1835. I am trying to gather more information about them, (where did they originate, when did they die? etc) and thought to ask if this is the same St. John’s MacCormack family that you are researching?
    Thank you
