Items that we have placed online for our members:

Headstone Inscriptions
During the 1980s and 1990s we gathered transcriptions from many cemeteries in the province. The books that contain these records are held at our resource centre and have been scanned and placed on this webpage. Several of the details from these records have also been entered into a searchable database.
Pre-1892 Vital Statistics Births Database
With the help of volunteers, we have been building a searchable database of pre-1892 birth records from the province's collection of Vital Statistics records.
Records from The Rooms
On this webpage we have made available many records from The Rooms (Provincial Archives). These records include voters lists, court records, deeds and wills, visitors books from Signal Hill, and various other items.
Records from the Provincial Resource Library
On this webpage we have made available records held by the Provincial Resource Library. These records include court records and the Bonavista Bay Plantation Book.
Voters Lists and Business Ledgers
At our resource centre we have voters lists from 1955 and 1962, several of which we have scanned and placed on this webpage along with some business ledgers that we have scanned.
Lectures
We began to record our monthly lectures in 2011. Recordings are available on this webpage.
Society Journals
All back issues of our quarterly journal "The Ancestor" are available on this webpage. As a partial index, we also have a page with the Tables of Contents.

For several years we have been exchanging journals electronically with other genealogical and family history societies. Several of their journals are available to our members on this webpage

We are always striving to expand our research resources, and welcome contributions to our collections. Material donations can be sent via post or dropped off in person at our office.

Our centre is open to the public, but please check our hours before coming.

Our contact details and opening times can be found on this webpage.

We offer limited research services for people who cannot visit in person.
